The journey started from my home, at 5.20 AM and move on with little hungry. The travel covers NH route for some distance, residential area for some distance, and finally reached most awaited hair pin bends. Yes, it has 70 bends. These bends took us to the top of the hill. But no words to portray the beauty of greenish, which surrounded the path. On the side of the hill, we can see plenty of jack fruit trees, pepper plants, pineapple plants.
Finally we reached masila falls, Which is small in size, compared to aagaya gangai falls. Water flow has been down, due to lack of rain. Though we had good bath and had breakfast made from home. I saw a huge plant (looks like a tree), malai katraalai, whose stem grown from middle of the plant is very tall.
Next cab moves towards arapaleeswarar temple, built by valvil ori a chozha ruler, 1500 years ago, during sangam age. We didn’t visit Aagaya gangai Water falls located 1000 steps below the arapaleeswarar temple, as some people from our crew are not able to step down and step up. Moreover tourists are prohibited to visit there for a month due to maintenance work.
We move on to Periyasamy temple located in a top of a mountain, where vehicles cannot go. There was a little hesitation to climb up, as we need to walk more in hot sun to reach the top. However mind overcome the hesitation, and start climbing. For others the journey is visiting temple, but for few of us, it’s a trekking. The path consists of stones, rocks and pavements. We met local people, had some chat during climbing down, and gathered little information about pepper cultivation.
Next place in the list is seeku paarai view point, a small view point, but it’s a spectacular scenery. Very good place to catch the beauty of nature.
Like all trip, end of the trip takes us to a market to purchase some fruits. We thought the trip ends, once purchasing got over. But nature has other plans. It sends rain to send off us. It was a adventurous travel downwards though hair pin bends in hill when it was raining. Here the trip ends.
